Hot Infrared Reformer Pilates:

What is infrared-heated reformer Pilates?

Infrared-heated reformer Pilates is a Pilates class conducted in a room warmed by infrared heat. This type of heat penetrates the body more deeply than traditional heating, promoting increased circulation, flexibility, and a detoxifying sweat, enhancing the overall Pilates experience.

How does infrared heating affect the body compared to traditional heating?

Infrared heat penetrates more deeply into the body, promoting increased blood circulation, muscle relaxation, and a detoxifying sweat. Unlike traditional heating, it provides warmth directly to the muscles and skin without creating a humid environment.

How hot does the room get during an infrared-heated Pilates class?

The room temperature typically ranges between 95°F and 100°F. Unlike conventional heated rooms, infrared heat warms the body directly rather than heating the surrounding air, creating a comfortable and energizing warmth.

Is infrared-heated reformer Pilates safe for beginners?

Our classes are suitable for all fitness levels. Beginners are encouraged to listen to their bodies and take breaks as needed. Infrared heat is generally well-tolerated, but it’s always a good idea to stay hydrated and take things at your own pace. Before any new exercise, you should consult your healthcare provider.

What should I wear and bring to an infrared-heated reformer class?

Wear moisture-wicking, breathable workout attire to stay comfortable. Feel free to bring a water bottle, though we everything you need such as towels, cold towels, and have a water refill station if needed. Staying hydrated before and after class is essential. We also offer bottled water, electrolytes, and coconut water for purchase.

Are there any health conditions or concerns that might affect participation in infrared-heated Pilates?

Infrared heat is generally safe; however, if you have certain medical conditions like cardiovascular issues, respiratory concerns, or are pregnant, consult your doctor before participating. We encourage all clients to check with their healthcare provider if they have concerns.

How often should I practice infrared-heated reformer Pilates to see results?

For noticeable improvements in strength, flexibility, and overall fitness, attending classes 2-3 times per week is effective. Regular practice will help maximize benefits and maintain progress.

What precautions should I take before trying an infrared-heated reformer Pilates class?

Stay hydrated, avoid heavy meals immediately before class, and listen to your body throughout the session. Take breaks if needed and inform the instructor of any health conditions so they can offer modifications.
